Victory of Justice and Resistance

Annulment of terrorist allegation against members and supporters of Iranian Resistance; Verdict for cessation of prosecution in the June 17 dossier

NCRI – On the eve of the eight anniversary of the extensive attack of June 17 against the headquarters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Auvers-sur-Oise in France and homes of a number of members, supporters and families of martyrs of the Iranian Resistance, justice prevailed and the French Judiciary and the anti-terrorist investigative judge officially annulled prosecution order for President-elect of the Iranian Resistance and 23 officials, members and supporters of the Resistance on the charge of terrorism and financing terrorism.

The June 17 dossier, which was opened 10 years ago in 2001 at the time of mullah Khatami as an incentive for reform in the incorrigible velayat-e faqih regime based on the terrorist tag against the PMOI, was closed officially as far as the terrorist allegation is concerned.

Since a decade ago, most prominent jurists, lawyers, human rights advocates and members of parliament in France have reiterated that this dossier against Iranian legitimate Resistance was completely political from the outset and was formed aimed at appeasing and dealing with the religious fascism ruling Iran, lacking any criminal substance. Successive evidences and courts during the past 8 years proved the righteousness of the Iranian Resistance, and it became evident that the content of the dossier has been nothing but the lies fabricated by the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and its agents abroad, and the assertions of “forcible witnesses” in direct cooperation of mullahs’ Intelligence with the supportive services.

Very prominent French and international jurists underscored from the beginning that resistance against mullahs’ dictatorship is the legitimate right of the Iranian people, and terrorist label and various false accusations against the Resistance is only an embarrassment and a brand in the history of Judiciary of France, a country that is still righteously proud of its resistance in the face of Hitler fascism. Therefore, the judge’s decision for issuing the verdict for cessation of prosecution is rehabilitation to the French Judiciary and Justice.

The anti-terrorism Pubic Prosecutor has acknowledged that the main origin for the accusations against the Iranian Resistance and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran was in fact the EU terror list in which the PMOI was included at the behest of the Iranian regime. In the following years, to avoid an empty file and for procrastination, a series of other fake allegations were added to the June 17th dossier; however, it proved to be futile.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi congratulated this decision to the French Judiciary and to the Iranian people and Resistance, especially the PMOI members in Ashraf. She also expressed her gratitude to all sympathizers of the Iranian Resistance across the world as well as jurists and political, social and religious figures in France and other countries who have been standing by the Iranian people and Resistance through this ten-year-long campaign.

She said issuing the verdict for cessation of prosecution means that one decade of investment, fabrication of files, demonization, dissemination of misleading information, and smearing by the mullahs’ regime, its agents and witnesses against the Iranian Resistance and its symbols have gone in vain.

Today’s order once again proved that any terror label against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran by any power is a political label and stems from policy of appeasement. Its continuation would only serve the interest of religious fascism ruling Iran.
