Khamenei acknowledges the crisis and tries desperately to downplay it

• Warning the internal bands of the regime against despair and intensifying power struggle

Khamenei, the Iranian regime’s supreme leader, on Wednesday, only a few days after currency crisis and widespread protest of Bazar merchants, in a speech in Bojnoord city in the province of North Khorasan acknowledged the crisis and widespread unemployment across the country and said the issue of unemployment is among the main concerns of people across the country.

However, Khamenei desperately tried to downplay the widespread protests of people who were chanting “down with Khamenei and down with dictator” and protesting against the deadly economic crisis. He said: “some people came to the street calling themselves Bazari (merchants) to cause disturbance … 2 or 3 hours some people come to the streets of Tehran to set garbage cans on fire, and they on the other part of the world express the happiness and say yes, there is protests; is our situation (the US and Europe) better or your situation? … The Islamic Republic does not bend to its knees with these problems.” He said with impostorness and stupidity that American people are poor sufferers and trapped, and are low class.
Acknowledging the crisis and internal hyena fighting among the regime’s officials, he emphasized to his appointees “facing a collection of enemies” and for passing these “bottlenecks” they should not despair or lose patience and resistance, they should not fall into hasty mood or forget planning or fall into confusion.”
The internal bands of the regime in their increasing infighting expose some of their looting and plundering every day. According to a regime’s member of parliament “each year about $30 billion smuggled merchandise is imported into the country which results in loss of jobs and productions by domestic factories” (Fars News Agency, October 5, 2012).
Now, due to destructive policies of the mullahs that resulted in the closure of main factories in the country and destruction of agriculture, millions of workers and farmers and laborers in the cities and rural areas live under the poverty line and are doomed to slow death.
