The clerical regime’s judiciary sentenced political prisoner Kamran Rezaei-Far to death for “moharebeh” (waging war against God). Mohammad-Reza Amouzad, the so-called judge in the Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court issued the sentence.

The mullah’s Ministry of Intelligence arrested Kamran Rezaei-far in January 2020 on charges of supporting the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (PMOI/MEK). he was transferred to wards 240 and 209 for interrogation in the notorious Evin prison and subjected to physical and mental torture for and held in solitary confinement to make a forced confession. To psychologically torture Kamran, his family members, including his wife and son, were detained and imprisoned.

Rezaei-Far was released on bail after being interrogated. But less than a month later, he was arrested again in June 2020 and transferred to Evin, and in January 2021, he was tried in Branch 28 of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.

The Iranian Resistance urges the United Nation’s Secretary-General, the UN High Commissioner, and the UN Human Rights Council, as well as all human rights organizations, to take urgent action to save the lives of Kamran Rezaei-Far and other death row prisoners, especially political prisoners. The clerical regime’s crimes must be referred to the UN Security Council, and its leaders, particularly Khamenei, Ebrahim Raisi, and Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Eje’i (Regime’s Judiciary chief) must be brought to justice for four decades of genocide and crimes against humanity.
