Iran: 10th day of strike bazaar Bazaar strike – 8

NCRI – On Thursday morning, July 15, Tehran bazaar began its tenth day of strike and various guilds, including carpet and fabric dealers and goldsmiths remained closed.

Since yesterday morning, many people have gone to bazaar and Sabzeh Meidan Square to express their solidarity with the strikers. Around noon, the crowd on Sabzeh Meidan began demonstrating by chanting "Death to the dictator" and "we do not want incompetent government.” The intelligence agents and State Security Forces were patrolling in Bazaar and arresting all those who had cell phones.

Bazaar strike continues even after the representatives of government agreed to drop tax rise from 70 percent to 15 percent on Monday and tried to break the strike by attacks and intimidation.
