Increasing pressure on families and supporters of the Mojahedin (MEK) in the mullahs’ regime dungeons

Political prisoner Manouchehr Meymanat, 46 year old engineer, who was arrested in 2010, simply because of communicating with her sister, one of the members of the MEK, is now in critical condition in Borazjan prison in exile.

He was a Saipa automobile manufacturing company employee and was transferred after the arrest to the notorious Evin prison. The regime’s hangmen in an unfair process without having his minimum rights, condemned him to four years in prison in exile in Borazjan, one of the regime’s worst exile locations. Manouchehr Meymanat is imprisoned in a 20 square meters area in which 80 other prisoners accused of smuggling are placed on top of each other, lacking minimum hygienic and service.
Three members of his family have been killed by clerical regime of Iran. His elder brother, Masoud, was arrested in 1981 and after long term severe tortures was executed. His other brother, Mahmoud, was executed during the massacre of political prisoners in1988, and his mother, Akhtar Moulavi (aka mother Meymanat), teacher, 55, was killed by the regime’s suppressive forces in 1988.
Meanwhile, Ali Moezzi, a political prisoner supporter of MEK, in protest against repressive measures of the regime and the lack of a fair judicial process, refused to show up in the sham court of the regime for the second time on August 7th. He wrote to the regime’s courts: “Because in recent years some of my fellow countrymen have been executed by unjust revolutionary tribunals and their orders, I consider these sham trials with pre-determined judgments, as lacking legitimacy because the judge and case-makers of these courts are themselves guilty.”
Ali Moezzi, 63, was arrested on June 15, 2011 for the third time, while only a few days had passed since his operation and was in critical condition. The reason for his arrest was simply his participation in the funeral of Mohsen Dokmehchi, a Mojahedin prisoner who was denied cancer treatment, and tortured to death in prison. Ali Moezzi, a prisoner in the 80’s, had also been arrested in Tehran due to visiting his two children in camp Ashraf. The regime’s hangmen in order to intensify pressure on this political prisoner, prevent any medical treatment for him who suffers various diseases including cancer, severe neck arthritis, kidney failure which he endured in years of torture and captivity in the regime’s prisons.
GholamReza Khosravi-Savadjany, 47, a prisoner in the 80’s, is on the verge of execution for financial assistance to the satellite television network of the Iranian resistance and charged with mullahs-made charge of Moharebeh (war with God). He has spent over 40 months in solitary confinement.
The Iranian resistance warns against worrisome situation of political prisoners especially inhuman pressure on families and supporters of Mojahedin and calls upon all international human rights organizations especially Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran to take immediate actions to address the situation of political prisoners including families and supporters of Mojahedin and Ashraf residents.
