Suppressive measures by Iranian regime to prevent student participation in Fire Festival protests

Iran Fire Festival protests – 2

NCRI – In fear of another uprising on the Fire Festival Day in Iran, the mullahs’ regime has extended its suppressive measures to schools in order to prevent the formation of protests and their spread.

One such measure is the display of films and CDs in schools showing accidents that can happen during the Fire Festival. This is to deter students from participating in the Fire Festival and the use of firecrackers.

Since March 10, briefing sessions and display of films by the Education Directorate and the Red Crescent have been held to show accidents that can happen during the Fire Festival. Detection systems have also been installed at the entrances of many schools to prevent students carrying firecrackers inside.

Despite all these measures, the students are preparing for widespread participation in the uprising in defiance of the regime’s ploys.
