Students protest in the cities of Rasht, Mashhad, Yasouj and Zanjan

NCRI – The students from Technical College in Rasht chanted anti-government slogans in their protest gathering. The suppressive forces arrested three students and said that they would release them only when the rest of the students disperse. Simultaneously this morning, in Mashhad, hundreds of students held another protest gathering.

The students at Ferdowsi University in Mashhad started their demonstration in front of the university entrance gate by chanting “Death to the dictato.” The students at engineering, veterinary and medical colleges joined them. In order to disperse the students, anti-riot forces attacked them and arrested three students.

In Yasouj, students staged a sit-in in order to protest against the presence of Davoud Ahmadinejad, the brother of the mullahs’ president. The gathering led to a clash with regime’s agents.

In Zanjan, the students marked the Student Day by staging gatherings and posting a placard.

In Tabriz, the students at Free University marked the Student Day by distributing and posting the portraits of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance. In Yazd, the students distributed pamphlets.
