Students arrested during their protests in various cities

Student Day protest-no 7

Protest demonstration of students at Yassouj University on the Student Day led to clashes with the agents of State Security Force (SSF) and university security (Harasat). The students chanted: “We don’t want unwanted government, we don’t want sham Islam”. The regime’s agents deliberately set the dormitory of female students on fire at Sunday night and accused the students of burning the Koran. On 5-7 December, dozens of students have been arrested under various excuses.

 

In Qazvin, at least five students, including three girls, of Free University have been arrested in the widespread demonstration of students.

Suppressive forces brutally attacked the students of Free University of Najaf-Abad during their demonstration that started with chants of “Death to the Dictator”. The students wrote graffiti on the walls such as, “I’ll kill those who killed my brother” or “Death to this deceitful government”. In Falavarjan, the students’ demonstration led to clashes during which two students were arrested.

In Tabriz, the students of Sahand University and Payam-e Nour University expressed their protests by closing down their classes. On December 6, the students of Sahand University disrupted the regime’s show by singing the anthem “The old school friend” and chanting slogan “Student will die but will not give in to humiliation”; a number of students were arrested.
In Kermanshah, the students of Razi University disrupted a speech by Brig. Gen. of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Saffar Harandi, who is also an advisor to the IRGC Commander-in-Chief, by chanting “Death to the dictator”. Also, a group of people gathered at the tomb of Kianoush Asa, a martyr of students’ movement, to commemorate his memory.

Students of different colleges of Isfahan University and Free Universities of Azad Shahr in Ray, Mashhad, Firouzkouh, as well as Hamadan, Zahedan, Kerman, Mashhad Engineering, and Shiraz Industrial Universities marked the Student Day by staging protest gatherings. A number of students were arrested in Isfahan.
