• The ninth Parliament will be mainly dominated by the Revolutionary Guards
NCRI – Reports from inside the regime indicate widespread fraud and unprecedented buying and selling of votes by various factions particularly Bassij and Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) in cities across the country. The move has been so public and so widespread to the extent that the regime’s agents have called it a scandal for the clerical regime.
According to received reports, the Bassij and the Revolutionary Guards have been leading these efforts. Bassij and Revolutionay Guards’ agents driving in vehicles in various streets were trying to pay big money to pedestrians to bring them in every possible way to the polling stations to vote for the list of candidates of the Revolutionary Guards. Vote buying from poor villagers and transferring them to the cities for staging the appearance of people’s large turnout in this sham election was another part of these measures. A number of people engaged in vote-buying in various cities were arrested but quickly released with mediation of the Revolutionay Guards and Ministry of Intelligence.
According to the reports, majority of fraud was around vote rigging for the list of Revolutionary Guards that includes a number of former guards who are members of Parliament. In Friday’s show of the regime in Tehran, AllahKaram, the head of the regime’s suppressive forces and hooligans was promoting the same list. On the order and request of Khamenei all of these measures are meant for the Revolutionary Guards to control the reactionary Parliament.
