Maryam Rajavi: Two days of widespread student uprising reflects Iran’s potential to overthrow mullahs’ regime

Maryam RajaviNCRI – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian Resistance’s President-elect, lauded the brave students’ protests and demonstrations during the past two days all across the country marking the anniversary of ‘Student Day’, and saluted the people and youth whose last night chants of ‘Allahu Akbar’ and ‘death to dictator’ aired through a wide area of Tehran.

Mrs. Rajavi said: The outburst of protests and cries of ‘death to dictator’, ‘political prisoner must be freed’ from different universities across Iran, vanquished the suppressive mobilization that has been the main focus of the regime for the past month, and once again proved the existence of the explosive potential and readiness of the Iranian society to overthrow the clerical dictatorship.

Mrs. Rajavi stressed: The massive security measures and preparations of the IRGC, MOIS, Basij force and the university Herasat Office (Protection Office, a branch of the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence on university campuses) during the recent weeks, which were carried out under the direct supervision of Khamenei, were unable to withstand the willpower and effort of the brave students. The continuous arrests of students, attacks on dormitories, a one week closing of the university under the pretext of the polluted weather of Tehran, the annoying control of students and the intense suppressive measures in cities across Iran were futile. Just as the succumbing calls of the regime’s overpowered faction was unable to prevent the students’ protests, who have risen to overthrow the fundamentalist regime, its anti-human constitution and all its affiliated bodies.
