Maryam Rajavi: Suppression, imprisonment, torture or execution will not stop Iranian people’s uprising

NCRI – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, hailed residents of Tehran and other cities of the country under the mullahs’ occupation, who took to the streets once again despite brutal crackdown and attacks by suppressive forces, to honor the 40th day of martyrdom of Neda and other victims of June 20 uprising. Mrs. Rajavi added that the cries of “death to the dictator” by people of Iran in Tehran’s Behesht Zahra cemetery, other parts of the capital and all over the country clearly indicate that fear from the velayat-e faqih (clerical regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei) has vanished. The uprising is going to continue and suppression, imprisonment, torture and execution will not be able to stop it, she said.

Mrs. Rajavi added that the mullahs’ desperate and helpless Supreme Leader Khamenei planned to extinguish the flames of the uprising of Iranian people by a savage and brutal attack on Ashraf and by killing those struggling for freedom, thus making up for his failure to quell uprising. But he fails to realize that things have changed beyond the point of no return and shedding blood of the PMOI members who have been killed in Ashraf in recent days would only give a new impetus to the people’s uprising in Iran to bring down the clerical regime and establish democracy in the country.
