NCRI – The people and youth of Tehran, despite mullahs’ fatwas and threats of high and low ranking authorities, and confronting the down-falling Velayat-e-Faqih regime and the suppressive efforts of its forces, celebrated these festivities and turned it to a scene of revulsion against mullahs’ anti Iranian and anti human regime. The sound of exploding firecrackers and sound grenades were being heard across the city.
In Tehran, at 5:30 pm people had skirmishes with security forces and bassijis in Gorgan square. At 6:10 pm, in Nezam-Abad and Taslihat district people confronted motorcycling thugs of the security forces and punished those obstructing the celebration. In Coca Cola cross road, the youth fired one security force’s vehicle.
At 6:30 pm, the youth in Quds city and Hafthoz despite the effort of security forces to disperse them, blocked the street and started the fire till midnight. From the intersection of Vali-Asr Square to Tajrish, the presence of police and security forces were noticeable. Traffic was very heavy. At 7:00 pm the brave young chanted “Death to Velayat-e-Faqih, (absolute clerical rule)” and exploded sound grenades and firecrackers In Nawab, Azarbaijan, Qasrdasht, Khosh, young people set trash bins on fire.
In Guisha, Satarkhan, Sadeghieh and the streets of west Tehran as well as Fatemi street due to the explosive atmosphere of Sadeghieh and the sound of big explosions that were created by youth homemade bombs, police helicopters were flying in the area for intimidation. But the youth did not pay any attention to it. In Ekbatan and Saadat Abad, hundreds of motorcyclist riot forces roamed the area to create terror and fear. In Tehran Pars First Circle and Saadat Abad, skirmishes between the youth and suppressive forces broke out.
In Pakdasht region, in Nazi Abad, Khani Abad and Tehran Bazaar, regime’s suppressive agents did not dare to approach the crowd large crowd. In Nawab and Nazi Abad areas, security forces agents were regularly patrolling the area. The sound of firecrackers regularly was being heard in Nawab and Nazi Abad areas. In Khazaneh, officials removed plastic waste materials and substituted them with metal garbage bins. In Ferdowsi and Geisha and Vanak Squares, Mehrabad, Narmak, Tehran Pars, and Poonak Shemiran areas, Hakimiyeh, GHaleh Hassan Khan, Towhid Square, Molawi, Dowlat Abad, Golestan, Roodhen and Mahalat the sound of firecrackers exploding was being heard everywhere.
