Iran: Traffic control system used in suppression of November 4 demonstrations

NCRI – Social Headquarters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) inside the country reported that the officials responsible for suppression of anti-regime demonstration used traffic control system in Tehran today.

Colonel Khanjali, Commander of operations; Revolutionary Guard Brigadier Alipour, head of Tehran Police Intelligence; and Revolutionary Guard Brigadier Azizollah Rajabzadeh, Commander of Greater Tehran Security Forces were based in Site 110 of center for control of Tehran’s traffic cameras. They monitor all movements in the city and plan dispatch of crack units to critical areas. The aim of installing traffic control camera system in Tehran was to monitor security in Tehran districts.

Heads of Security Forces have expressed concern regarding clashes taking place at university dormitory in Northern Amir Abad and the surroundings, Keshavarz Boulevard, Karim Khan Zand Street, Vali Asr, Azadi, Vanak, and Haft-e Tir squares, and also near Russian and British Embassies.
