Nationwide uprising in Iran – Statement 60
Gathering of thousands of Students in Tehran University chanting death to dictator, death to Khamenei
NCRI – On the 17th day of the nationwide uprising, since morning, thousands of students gathered in Tehran University chanting “death to the dictator” and “death to Khamenei”.
In efforts to control the protests Revolutionary Guards and Special Forces closed all entrance and exits of the University, leaving only the southern wing open. At 2:00 pm suppressive forces attacked students, beating them severely, the attacks were met with resistance by the students.
