Iran: Students stage demonstrations in Isfahan, Shiraz, Kerman, and Arak

Tehran University, Dec. 7, 2009Nationwide uprising – Students Day – No 4

NCRI – According to the Social Headquarters of the PMOI inside the country, students of Esfahan University staged a protest in front of the university chanting “Down with dictator.”

The demonstrations took place while plainclothes agents are based inside the university and police units have also been positioned in surrounding streets leading to the university and in Chahar-Bagh Bala and also Hezar-Jarib. The suppressive forces arrested two male students this morning.

In Kerman, central Iran, students of Schools of Agriculture, Development and Electrical Engineering, in Bahonar University, staged a protest chanting “People of Iran! Bring the dictator down,” “We are all together, we students fear nothing” and “Down with dictator.”

Students in Arak University set fire to Ahmadinejad’s pictures and started chanting “Down with dictator.”

In Shiraz University, up to 1,000 students staged a protest against suppression and pressures on their class mates. Protests were held in schools of Development and Mechanical Engineering among other departments. Agents of Herasat (suppressive force operating inside universities) have surrounded the gatherings are preventing the spread of protest.
