Iran: Protests and clashes in Laleh Park in Tehran

National Council of Resistance of IranNCRI – On the 16th day of the Iranian people’s nationwide uprising, on Sunday, a large number of Tehran residents, in particular relatives of the martyrs, gathered in Laleh Park to mourn those killed in recent days. Agents of the suppressive forces, who had been positioned in and around Laleh Park prior to the gathering, attacked the protestors injuring many of them.

People are resisting the suppressive forces, and a large number of protestors have until now been arrested. A large number of members of the Ashura Brigade of the paramilitary Bassij force have been involved in the clashes. Also present are a number of female agents of the regime’s suppressive forces.
