People disarm regime agents in Dastgerd
A large number of people injured during clashes

NCRI – At noon local time on Saturday in the city of Esfahan, courageous workers and people staged protests at Enqelab Square with the chants of “death to Khamenei,” the mullahs’ Supreme Leader, and “Khamenei is a murderer, his rule is illegitimate,” clashing with the regime’s suppressive forces.

At 15:00 local time, people and university students protested in support of workers in front of the entrance of University of Esfahan, chanting “Workers, Students, Unite, Unite.” The protest also led to clashes with the regime’s agents.

At 21:45, people and relatives of the injured gathered in protest in front of the al-Zahra hospital and chanted against the clerical regime. The gathering occurred as a means to prevent the kidnapping of the injured by the regime’s intelligence agents.

The impoverished workers and people of Dastgerd in Esfahan attacked the municipality. Subsequent to an attack by the State Security Forces (SSF) against the people, three of the agents were disarmed by angry protestors. Several people were wounded after shots were fired by regime agents.

Workers of the bus and minibus company as well as those at the Sepahan car manufacturing plant in Mobarakeh and Dastgerd demanded in their protests to have their requests heard with regards to deteriorating living conditions. Suppressive forces, however, attacked the workers to prevent the gathering from taking place.

In Esfahan’s Homayounshahr, at 16:00 local time, heavy clashes broke out on the so-called Khomeini Street between protestors and regime agents, which led to the wounding of 16 people.

Meanwhile the protests of impoverished workers and people of Falavarjan took place in front of the labor office of the city. At 10:15 and 14:45 heavy clashes took place between people and suppressive forces. A large number of people were injured. The intensity of the clashes was such that the regime had to dispatch Revolutionary Guards from Fouladshahr to curb protests in Falavarjan.
