Today, Friday, November 12, 2021, thousands of people and farmers of Isfahan gathered for the fifth day running, to protest against being deprived of their water rights, water shortages, and the drying up of the Zayandeh Rud River. Several farmers have been holding a sit-in on the Zayandeh Riverbed for the past five days by setting up tents.

Recalling regime leader’s empty promises, Isfahan farmers chanted, “(Ebrahim) Raisi, this is the last warning.” The demonstrators also chanted: “We will obtain our water rights even if we have to sacrifice our lives,” “The nation has never seen so much injustice,” “Zayandeh Rud water is our inalienable right,” “Give Zayandeh Rud back, let Isfahan breath.”

The Iranian Resistance hailed the oppressed farmers of Isfahan and called on the young people and the people of Isfahan to support and show solidarity with the farmers.
