Iran: Nationwide Uprising in 32nd Day with Student Demonstrations, Rallies by Political Prisoners’ Families, Workers’ Strikes

On Monday morning, the 32nd day of the nationwide uprising, students from various universities, including Tehran University’s dentistry, Medical Sciences, Social Sciences, Ardabil University of Medicine, Azad Universities of Shahr-e Kord, Najafabad in Isfahan, Bushehr University of Persian Gulf, Sari, and the Art University of Tabriz staged protests. Plainclothes agents attacked the students at Ardabil University, and the students confronted them, chanting, “Shame on you! Shame on you!” In Tabriz, there was a fierce confrontation between the students and the suppressive forces. In Bandar Kong, schoolgirls protested, chanting, “Mullahs must get lost.”

Meanwhile, in Tehran, families of the political prisoners and detainees of the uprising gathered in front of Evin prison to protest the killing of prisoners on Saturday.

In Mashhad, rebellious youths set fire to a police Kiosk. Oil workers in Asaluyeh, Abadan, and Bandar Abbas continued their strike to support the nationwide uprising.

On Sunday night, in different districts of Tehran, including Ekbatan, Shush, Kashani, Tajrish, Jordan, Niavaran, Chitgar, Tehranpars, and Seyyed Kandan, people protested while chanting, “Death to the dictator” and “Death to the child-killing regime.” By lighting fire, they blocked the roads. In Shush, suppressive forces fired tear gas at the demonstrators, and the youths blocked the road by lighting a fire and continued their demonstrations. Chants of “Death to the dictator” echoed from the houses in Moniriyeh, Jordan, Niavaran, and Tajrish districts. The people of Ekbatan chanted, “How long will the ISIS Revolutionary guards kill children.”

Various cities, including Yazd, Isfahan, Mashhad, Karaj, and Shahrekord, were the scene of night demonstrations. On Sunday night, people shouted slogans from buildings and clashed with suppressive forces. In Isfahan, the rebellious youth blocked some streets by setting fire to the streets. They chanted, “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader (Khamenei).” In the Imamshahr district, the protesters confronted suppressive forces and lit a fire on the road in Yazd.
