This morning, Tuesday, November 8, on the 54th day of the nationwide uprising, students of Mathematics Faculty at Melli University, University of Science and Technology, Tehran University of Science and Culture, Allameh University, Sharif University of Technology, Ershad University in Damavand, Faculty of Architecture of Azad University in Najafabad, Noshirvani University in Babol, students and professors of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences staged protests and sit-ins.

The students chanted: “Imprisoned students must be released,” “We are ready to sacrifice, we have had enough of oppression,” “Universities have turned into prisons,” “IRGC losing forces – death to the regime,” “Tanks and guns – under the robe of the leader (Khamenei)” and “We pledge to the blood of our comrades – we will stand until the end.” The students of Allameh University chanted, “Even if blood rains from the sky – united students of Allameh will not give in.”

Today the workers and employees of Isfahan Steel Company went on strike. The people of Marivan gathered to honor Nasrin Qaderi on her third day of martyrdom, chanting “Death to Khamenei.” The people of Karaj laid flowers on the site of Mehran Shekari’s martyrdom. He was killed on November 3 in one of the streets of Karaj, west of Tehran. In Zanjan, young people attacked a Basij base with Molotov cocktails, and in Gonbad Kavous, they attacked the office of a regime parliament deputy and set them on fire. In Marivan, the youths protested by lighting fire in the street.

Fars news agency, affiliated with the IRGC, reporting on a press conference on November 8 by Massoud Setayeshi, the spokesman for the Judiciary, wrote, “Regarding the latest statistics on issuing indictments in Tehran for the detainees of recent incidents, he said, ‘1,024 indictments have been issued so far.’”
