Nightly demonstrations in Tehran, Sanandaj, Zarin Shahr, Isfahan, Bukan

Protest gatherings of telecom retirees in Tehran and 10 other provinces

On Monday evening, January 30, the 137th night of the nationwide uprising, defiant youths in Sanandaj blocked the street by lighting a fire and chanting “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to the dictator,” “Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader (Khamenei),” “Kurds and Baluchis are brothers, they hate the leader (Khamenei)” and “Death to agents.”

In Tehran, young people in Ekbatan Township, Kuhsar neighborhood, and Beheshti Street staged nightly demonstrations chanting “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to bloodthirsty Khamenei,” “Death to the dictator,” “This year, is a year of sacrifice, Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,” “We pledge to the blood of our comrades – we will stand until the end” and “Basij agent! Your end is close.”

In townships of Bagheri, Punak, and Sattarkhan the chants of “Death to Khamenei,” “Death to the dictator,” “Death to IRGC” and “Poverty, corruption, high prices, onward to overthrow” echoed from the buildings. Young people gathered in Tehran’s Andisheh Street and set up a fire while chanting “Our homeland will only be free when the mullahs have gone.”

In Zarinshahr of Isfahan, the youth staged a nightly rally by lighting a fire and chanting “We pledge to the blood of our comrades – we will stand until the end.”

On Monday morning, the pensioners of the State Telecommunications Company in Tehran and the provinces of Kurdistan, Lorestan, Khuzestan, West Azerbaijan, Gilan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Yazd, and Isfahan protested against the non-payment of their salaries and the regime’s disregard for their demands while chanting “Death to the liar” and “Shame on the Telecommunications Company.” Pensioners of Sarcheshmeh Copper Factory also held a protest rally in Tehran and several other cities in protest against the transfer of the pension fund’s assets to the regime’s Welfare Ministry.

In the meantime, the suppressive forces of the regime arrested Abdul Majid Muradzehi, a Sunni cleric in Zahedan, and two other Sunni clerics in Sanandaj.
