Iran: May Day Anti-government demonstrations in Tehran

NCRI – According to reports by the Social Headquarters of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Iran, the anti-government demonstrations on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day began in Tehran from Azadi Street at 14:30 local time. The crowd is marching towards the Ministry of Labor.

Entrances from streets leading to Azadi Street such as Avesta Street are blocked by security and suppressive agents. Meanwhile, plainclothes security agents roam at most of the streets and some of the pedestrians are stopped and searched in the street.
