Iran: Maryam. Rajavi calls on all Iranian students to support the striking students

Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of IranMore than 3,000 students gathered in protest in the Teachers' Training School
NCRI – Last night, more than 3,000 students of the Teachers' Training School held a gathering outside their dormitory protesting to the mullahs' inhuman regime and in support of their fellow students on hunger strike.

Students chanted, "We are fighters, men and women,   Fight us and we will fight," "Students will die but never be humiliated," "We stand and sing to the end" and "Student should not be afraid of security guards."

More than 70 students, among them 40 females, have been on hunger strike for the past five days. Nine students were hospitalized for poor health conditions resulting from hunger strike on Wednesday.

In addition to the usual security and police force, the university guards and paramilitary Student Bassij Force came up with special tactics to combat the ongoing demonstrations. Most noticeable is a tight control over the school's gates preventing students from entering or leaving the campus.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance lauded the striking students and called on all Iranian students and youths to support them.

She added that consecutive strikes and protests by students across the nation such as Tehran's Polytechnic, Shiraz, and Sahand Universities and now Teachers' Training School are indicative of the increasing hatred of the Iranian youths for the mullahs' regime and the overall public outcry for a change in Iran.

The Iranian Resistance calls on human rights organizations as well as student unions to condemn the regime's suppressive measures against the students.
