Iran: Heavy clashes between people and suppressive forces in Najaf-Abad

NCRI – Heavy clashes that started last night between people of Najaf-Abad (birth place of Ayatollah Montazeri) and the suppressive forces continued through Wednesday.

Residents of Najaf-Abad poured on streets last night chanting anti-regime slogans particularly against Khamenei and the criminal members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Protesters blocked and took control of the road leading to Esfahan. The courageous youths blocked the road by sand bags to prevent entry of a large number of Iranian regime's agents to the city. The agents opened fire on protesters and used teargas, pepper gas, metal chains, and clubs to suppress people.

Despite the fact that a large number of protesters were wounded, they still continued resisting against the suppressive forces and challenged them by daring them to come for mourning ceremonies held on the holy day of Ashura, December 27.
