February 11 uprising – no 23

NCRI – Hundreds of members of families of those detained during Thursday's anti-regime protests gathered last night outside Tehran’s Vozara Detention Center and the State Security Forces' detention center in Tehran's Enghelab Square, to call for the release of their relatives.

In response to the perseverance of the families, the Vozara Detention Center's authorities were forced to free some 40 female detainees. However, the State Security Forces (SSF) attacked the gathering at Enghelab Square.

The SSF has admitted that nearly 1,000 protestors were arrested on Thursday (Feb. 11) in Tehran.  Many of the detainees are held in containers under inhuman conditions.

The Iranian Resistance calls on the United Nations' Secretary General, the UN Security Council, the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights and all international human rights organizations to condemn arbitrary arrests of Feb. 11 uprising. It also calls for immediate measures to secure the release of the detained protesters.
