Iran: Demonstrators outside mullahs’ parliament savagely attacked by suppressive forces

Nationwide uprising in Iran – Statement 47

NCRI – Around 17:00 local time in Tehran today crowds of people are streaming down to Baharestan Square where the mullahs’ parliament is located. Streets leading to the square including Jomhouri, Mojahedin and Sarchemshmeh are packed with people and the number was growing. The Revolutionary Guards, anti-riot forces and State Security Forces were trying to prevent people from going to Baharestan. Despite harsh security measures the crowd is swelling in the square as reported at 18:00 local time.

The suppressive forces are attacking the crowd by firing shots and tear gas, but people are resisting. Many have been wounded including a young girl.
