Iran: Baluch Youths Clash with SSF After Murder of 16-Year-old: Several Injured in Gunfire

NCRI logoOn Tuesday, April 25, the youth of Fanuj in Sistan and Baluchistan province surrounded and threw stones at the State Security Force (SSF) station in protest against the murder of a 16-year-old motorcycle rider and the injury of two other motorcycle riders who were run over by the SSF repressive agents. The SSF responded by opening fire on the angry protesters who were chanting anti-government slogans, resulting in several injuries from direct gunfire. In protest against these crimes, the youth of Fanuj blocked several streets by setting fires.

Quoting IRGC Colonel Ali Rahimi, SSF deputy social commander of Sistan and Baluchistan, FARS, the IRGC news agency, reported: “At sunset on April 25, two motorcycles collided with each other, resulting in the death of one person and the injury of two others… The police patrol also arrived at the scene of the incident… With the presence of police officers at the scene, some people made the atmosphere tense by suggesting that the accident occurred due to the collision of the police car with the motorcycle riders.”
