Graves of victims of uprising found in Teheran’s Behesht Zahra cemetery

 Nationwide uprising – Statement 154

NCRI – Corpses of dozens of detainees of the nationwide uprising who were killed by the agents of the clerical regime were buried in section 302 of Tehran’s Behesht Zahra cemetery on July12 and 15.

The secret burial of the corpses were unveiled while families of the detainees have been gathering outside the regime’s court and the notorious Evin prison for over two months enduring all kinds of hardship and hot summer weather only to obtain some information about their children and relatives. The regime’s officials have been denying the families with any information about the detainees.

Hundreds of detainees of the nationwide uprising have been killed under torture in Kahrizak prison, Ward209 of Evin prison, safe houses of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, paramilitary Basij force and basements of the Interior Ministry and other government buildings and their corpses have vanished.

The Iranian Resistance once again reiterates the need to send a fact finding mission of the United Nations and the Human Rights Council’s Rapporteurs to investigate the state of those killed in detention or still in detention in Iran.
