New Year’s Day 13 – No. 9

NCRI – A large number of courageous people and youths of Jannat Abad (northwestern Tehran), who had formed a gathering to celebrate the 13th day of Iranian New Year in woodlands near the Iran Pars juncture, continued their celebrations with chants of “death to dictator.” Cheers by other youths and car horns were mixed together increasing the noise.

The regime’s suppressive agents who were present in the area called for back up and began to confront the protestors. In a show of solidarity, people in the area rushed to the help of protestors in clashes against suppressive agents. They booed the regime’s agents and expressed their hatred towards the religious tyranny ruling Iran.

On Thursday night, the people of Jannat Abad had also chanted “God is great” and “death to dictator” hoping to deflect the menace of absolute clerical rule in the New Year.
