Bazaar strike enters its ninth day despite the regime's retreatBazaar strike – 7

NCRI – Various Tehran Bazaar guilds are still on strike today after nine days and the shops remain closed in all main Bazaars and smaller ones.

Bazaar strike continues despite the regime’s retreat from 70 percent rise in taxes and agreed to only 15 percent on Monday, July 12, after a six-hour meeting with the representative of Bazaar guilds.

Although the shops were closed and despite the presence of plainclothes agents and State Security Forces, a large crowd came to Bazaar to express their solidarity with the strikers.

On Tuesday, the suppressive agents of the regime tried to force the Bazaaris to break their strike by intimidation and attacks on them.  The attacks were carried out on Fabric Sellers Bazaar at around 10:30 am local time and Shoe Bazaar at around 18:00. But, the Bazaar merchants resisted each time and forced the suppressive agents to retreat.
