Mullahs falsely blame PMOI for a blast in Tehran 21 years agoNCRI – The religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran attributed the March 15, 1985 blast during Tehran’s Friday prayer congregation to the Mojahedin twenty-one years after the incident.  All state-controlled media simultaneously claimed that the Mojahedin carried out the blast which killed 14 and injured 88.

The central office of the Friday prayer leaders throughout the country has ordered the Friday prayer leaders to engage in such propaganda during tomorrow’s Friday prayer sermons.

The allegations against the Mojahedin came despite the fact that last year, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani addressed that incident during Friday prayers and said, “Whoever it was, counterrevolutionaries, the Monafeqin [Mojahedin] or the Shah’s people, they did it with the help of Iraqis.  Iraqi Ba’athist and the Americans did this.”

This year, however, fearing the Mojahedin and what happened during the Festival of Fire celebrations all over the country, the regime has found it expedient to blame a blast that happened 21 years ago on the Mojahedin.

The nuclear standoff and the revelations of regime extensive terrorism in Iraq, arousing international concern, have exacerbated the mullahs’ indignation and vengeance toward the Mojahedin.

At the time, the Mojahedin condemned the bombing and reported three days later on March 18, 1985 that the regime was planning to execute 2,000 political prisoners during the following weeks.
