NCRI – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, described the execution of Mr. Hossein Khezri, a Kurdish political prisoner, as a futile attempt by the regime’s Supreme Leader to prevent the explosion of people’s rage in Kurdistan and across Iran who seek the overthrow of the blood thirsty religious dictatorship.

She reiterated: The execution of Hossein Khezri and Ali Sarami (Saremi) and other dissidents, intensification of torture and suppression, and growing conspiracies and suppression against Ashraf residents, are not going to save the medieval regime from its inevitable downfall. These criminal acts will only embolden Iranian people’s determination to acquire their freedom.

Mrs. Rajavi offered her condolences to Khezri’s family, people of Kurdistan and Iranians throughout the country and called on the international community to strongly condemn this heinous crime. She called on the UN Security Council, Secretary General and High Commissioner for Human Rights and all relevant international organizations to act urgently to save the lives of political prisoners in Iran.
