Iranian Resistance urgent call to save life of Pastor Nadarkhani

NCRI – The show trial of Pastor Nadarkhani and forcing him to choose between repentance and execution is just another example of clerical regime’s unbounded savagery and its vital need to intensify suppression to fend off wrath and hatred of Iranian people, especially religious minorities who demand the overthrow of the religious fascism ruling Iran.

The Iranian Resistance calls on the United Nations Secretary-General, the Security Council, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Human Rights Council, all states, and human rights defending organizations to adopt stern practical measures to free Mr. Nadarkhani.

Condemnation of the barbaric and systematic breach of human rights in Iran is insufficient. This medieval regime should be sanctioned and its leaders should be brought to face trial for these crimes, including the execution of 120,000 political prisoners – many of whom were Christians, horrible murder of priests in 1994, and savage discrimination against religious and ethnic minorities. Khamenei, Ahmadinejad and other leaders of the current Iranian regime have played prominent roles in all crimes perpetrated by this regime in the past three decades.

Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, 35 and father of two, has been in prison in city or Rasht for the past two years on the mullah-fabricated charge of apostasy. He is now to choose between execution and renouncing his faith. Currently, many followers of Christianity or other religions are in clerical regime’s prisons on similar charges.
