NCRI – The Iranian Resistance offers its condolences to the members of family and friends of Mr. Saber Mokhled Mavaneh, the Kurdish political prisoner executed early Morning on January 6 in the main prison in the city of Orumiyeh.

The Iranian Resistance calls on the United Nations Security Council, the UN Secretary-General, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and other pertinent organs to condemn this criminal execution.

It reiterates its call for the referral of this regime’s criminal record to International Criminal Court, particularly the execution of some 120,000 political prisoners.

Mr. Saber Mokhled, was arrested in July 2012 on the charge of “Moharebeh”, “acting against national security”, and cooperating with “Kurdish political parties opposed to the system.” He was later sentenced to death.

Mr. Mokhled was among the 27 Kurdish political prisoners in Ward 12 of Orumiyeh’s main prison who staged a month long hunger strike on November 20, 2014, to protest the regime’s suppressive measures against political prisoners.
