Iranian Resistance condemns crackdown on Sharif Industrial University students

Iranian Resistance condemns crackdown on Sharif Industrial University students Following extensive clashes between students and the paramilitary Bassij forces last Sunday in Sharif Industrial University, the regime’s henchmen are threatening the students with arrest and further crackdown.

The clashes, described by state-controlled dailies as unprecedented in the past eight years, erupted after Hezbollah and regimes’ plainclothes agents buried remains of three people, who had died during the Iran-Iraq war, in the University Mosque.  In protest, a majority of the students clashed and beat up the suppressive forces and the University Chancellor.

“Those instigating the incident have been identified and relevant authorities in the university will take action in the next two days,” said Asghar Zare’i, the Science Ministry’s Director General for Security, according to official news agency, ISNA, on March 15.

The Iranian Resistance condemns pressures and restrictions exerted on Sharif Industrial University students. It also draws the attention of international organizations to the repressive policies of the mullahs’ regime against Iran’s university students and calls for urgent action to prevent the arrest, imprisonment and torture of the students.
