Iran: Widespread crackdown of sugar cane factory workers by the SSF special units

NCRI – Protest by the workers of sugar cane factory entered its sixth day in the southwestern city of Shoosh. Today, around 10:30 a.m., the State Security Forces (SSF) special units began their widespread crackdown on the gathering wounding more than ten protesters. A number of participants have been arrested and transferred to unknown locations by the suppressive forces.

The striking workers numbered over 2,000 had their sit-in outside the governor’s building when they came under brutal attack by the SSF special units.

The SSF and security forces have imposed an undeclared martial law throughout the city. But the workers demanding their rights scattered around the various residential areas in particular Bonyad Shahid Square.
Separately, last night the SSF agents violently attacked the residence of a worker activist to arrest him.
The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations and labor unions to condemn the anti-labor laws of the mullahs’ regime and take urgent measures to stop the violent suppression and try to free the detainees.
