Iran: We will pursue forcefully our nuclear program and other issues – Khamenei

NCRI – On Monday, the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, speaking to the "International Islamic Unity Conference," a front organization for exporting terrorism and fundamentalism, reiterated the seriousness of the mullahs’ regime in challenging UN Security Council resolution 1696 by pursuing its nuclear program and said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has made up its mind based on the experience of the past 27 years to forcefully pursue its nuclear program and other issues it is faced with, relying on God, and it will taste its sweet fruit.”

Referring to the regime’s terrorist involvement in the recent war in Lebanon, Khamenei attacked other Muslim and Arab leaders and said, "The recent events in Lebanon showed that if Islamic countries depend on Muslim people’s strength, no power is able to match them."

His remarks came a day before the regime’s deadline on Tuesday to respond to the P5+1 package of incentives, showing the regime’s intention to challenge the international community in order to obtain the atomic bomb.

The NCRI’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Mohammad Mohaddessin said, "Although, the leaders of the mullahs’ regime have repeatedly said that they will continue with uranium enrichment, they insist at the same time that there is a need for negotiations. This is to buy time in order to acquire the atomic bomb." He reiterated that there was a need to impose immediate and comprehensive sanctions against the regime.
