Iran: Top judiciary official defends stoning and torture

NCRI- The Head of the Human Rights Council of the Iranian regime’s Judiciary defended the regime’s criminal human rights record.

Speaking in a gathering entitled “Respect for Human Rights and Mankind’s Dignity Day,” Mohamad Javad Larijani said: “We are proud of our judicial system and defend Law of Retribution (Qisas) and even stoning.”

The remarks by the clerical regime’s top ideologue for justifying torture and stoning ludicrously were broadcasted on state-run TV on August 5, 2014.

Larijani ridiculously claimed: “The democracy in Iran… is the biggest democracy in the region. The only democracy in the region.”

“Look! In these reports they say that you have imprisoned this, this and this. That they could not defend themselves. Prison was hard on them and they suffered psychological torture. Is prison supposed to be a hotel or motel?,” he said.

When the Head of mullahs’ so-called “Human Rights Council” and regime’s top advisor to the head of the Judiciary, officially and publicly heinously defends the anti-human Law of Retribution, stoning and physical and psychological torture in the clerical regime’s prison, one can guess the dimension of the crimes of this regime’s henchmen and torturers in the dungeons.

Similarly one can come to grasp how ridiculous and baseless is the motto of “moderation”, an excuse by the appeasers of the regime to turn a blind eye on the violation of human rights and crime against humanity being carried out in Iran.
