Iran: Three prisoners hanged in Hamedan

Iran: Two labor activists sentenced to serve time by the mullahs' judiciaryA juvenile was among the victims
NCRI – Mullahs’ henchmen hanged three prisoners identified as Manochehr Turk, Mohammadreza Turk, and Safarali Varmazyar in the prison yard in the western city of Hamedan, the semi-official daily Jomhouri Islami reported on Saturday.

One of the victims, Mohammadreza Turk, was under aged at the time of the crime.

Execution of prisoners for crimes committed under the age of eighteen is in breach of international conventions such as International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights as well as Covenant on Civil and Political Rights signed by Iran in 1975.  However, in the past three decades, the ruling religious dictatorship has executed thousands of juveniles. Wave of executions is taking place in Iran amid last week’s unanimous adoption of a resolution by a UN panel calling for moratorium on death penalty.
The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Secretary General and the current session of the UN General Assembly to condemn the arbitrary executions carried out by the Iranian regime, and adopt immediate and binding measures against the brutal and systematic human rights violations in Iran.
