Iran: The Staggering Number of Coronavirus Death Toll in 541 Cities Exceeds 279,500

Today, once again, Rouhani blamed the people for the COVID-19 outbreak and said: “The decrease in compliance with the protocols after each outbreak shows that people have not adapted their lives to COVID-19. The previous outbreak was created mainly due to non-compliance with protocols.”

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Thursday, May 6, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 541 cities across Iran had passed 279,500. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 64,501, Isfahan 18,355, Khorasan Razavi 17,315, Khuzestan  17,149, Mazandaran 11,545, East Azerbaijan 11,428, West Azerbaijan 10,403, Gilan  9,671, Qom 9,335, Fars 8,782 , Alborz 7,418, Golestan 6,960, Hamedan 6,308, Kerman 6,288, Central Province 5,833, Kurdistan 4,837, North Khorasan 4,133, Ardabil 3,557, Zanjan 3,080, Ilam 2,881, and South Khorasan 2,741.
