Iran: The life of a student abducted by the Iranian regime is in danger

Reza NegahdariNCRI – On February 3, agents of the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) abducted Mr. Reza Negahdari, a third-year law student at Tehran University and took him to an unknown location.

Reza Negahdari, secretary of administration and spokesman for Iranian Freedom-loving Students, was expelled from university and banned from entering the dormitory by the so-called ‘security office,’ the MOIS branch in universities. The reasons for this included organization of political and non-political university gatherings at Tehran University in February 2008, organization of a gathering protesting the suspicious death of Dr. Zahra Bani-Yaghoub, and for protesting against mullahs’ President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to Tehran University on October 7, 2007.

The Negahdari family’s inquiries from relevant mullah regime organs in order to find a clue about the location of their son have so far been unsuccessful, and the MOIS refrains from responding to queries in this regard.

By kidnapping and arresting political activists and imposing the worst kinds of torture in its medieval torture chambers, the mullahs’ regime makes all efforts to break them down so that they reject any activity against the ruling henchmen in Iran. If unsuccessful in its attempts, the regime tortures the prisoners to death and dispose of their bodies.

The Iranian Resistance warns against the imposition of cruel torture and murder of kidnapped university student, Reza Negahdari. Turning a blind eye to such acts of oppression and cruelty by the ruling fascism in Iran throughout the past 30 years has emboldened it to suppress the Iranian people on daily basis.

The Iranian Resistance also calls on all international human rights organizations and authorities, especially the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, to refer the mullah regime’s utterly criminal human rights abuses dossier to the UN Security Council and adopt immediate and internationally binding measures.
