Iran: Mullahs’ regime launches school police force

Iran: Mullahs' regime launches school police forceNCRI – In the run-up to the start of the new school year, the mullahs’ regime unveiled a new suppressive force called "Mehr Police" to further control society.

The head of State Security Forces (SSF) in Tehran Province, Brig. Gen. Reza Zarei, said: "As part of this plan, police will be present in front of schools. Youth Police will be present inside schools. At school closing hours, motorcycle units of the police and patrols would roam the area. … The plan will be implemented simultaneously in ten cities in Tehran Province such as Karaj, Savej-Bolagh, Nazar-Abad, Shahriyar, Robat-Karim, Damavand, Pakdasht, Firuoz-Kouh, Shahr-Ray, and Islam-Shahr."

Zarei reiterated: "The same plan will be enforced throughout the year on a much larger scale."

In the run-up to the new academic year, the introduction of the new suppressive plan is only meant to reign in on Iranian youths and students. This is indicative of the fear of the unpopular and unstable regime of university and high school students’ uprisings.
