Iran: Mullahs’ fear of social uprisings spurs astronomical lies

NCRI – Yesterday, the Commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guards Corps,  Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, speaking at the gathering of Bassij forces, absurdly repeated the hollow slogans and said, “Powerful Iran is an invincible power in the region.” He did not hide the mullahs’ fear of social uprisings, “Wherever the situation gets out of hand and the State Security Forces are not able to cope and the situation becomes restive, obviously, the presence of Bassij forces brings back calm and lasting security,” he added.

Resorting to bogus claims and astronomical lies, he said, “To offset these threats…Iran with its 11 million Bassij personnel can defend the environment and surroundings. … Many Western and even U.S. officials have confessed that powerful Iran is an invincible power in the region and that they have to accept and get along with Iran as a regional power that now enjoys peaceful nuclear technology.”

The mullahs’ regime which is hated more than ever by the Iranian people has become weaker because of increasing internal purges. By making such bogus claims, the mullahs’ officials want to counter domestic unrest and blackmail the international community, particularly the countries in the region.
