On Wednesday December 23, the regime's henchmen hanged two prisoners, Esmail Fathizadeh and Mohammad Esfandiari. This crime took place after two previous attempts by the regime to hang them which were disrupted by people’s courageous protests. Fearing spread of people's protests in Sirjan, the regime did not release any information about the place and time of the execution.

On Tuesday morning, after the people's protest and hurling stones at the regime's agents, the victims were let loose while they had noose around their necks and helped to flee the scene.

The suppressive forces re-arrested them after a few hours and brought them to the hanging place. But the protesters once again clashed with the regime's agents in order to prevent their executions. The agents opened fire on people, killing at least five, wounding dozens and arresting a large number of people including families of the victims. The agents took the victims out to another location and secretly executed them.
