Iran: Life of kidnapped political prisoner in serious danger

Lion and Sun official symbol of the NCRINCRI – Despite the passing of 45 days since the abduction of a released political prisoner by the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) agents, there are still no reports about his whereabouts.

On February 5, 2009, Mr. Sadegh Sistani, who had previously been imprisoned for 14 years due to supporting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), was kidnapped by MOIS agents. Repeated inquiries by his family from various prisons in the country have led nowhere and their questions remain unanswered.

The Iranian Resistance warns against torture and murder of Mr. Sadegh Sistani, and calls on all international human rights organizations to adopt immediate measures to save the lives of political prisoners in Iran.
