IRAN: Karoubi acknowledges the death of 36,000 school children in war fronts

Maryam Rajavi calls for trial of mullahs’ regime leaders for war crimes and crimes against humanity

In an unprecedented revelation in the course of escalating internal feuding within the Iranian regime, Mehdi Karoubi, one of the mullahs’ presidential candidates, admitted with pride saying, “When the war broke out and we were attacked, we spoke to people in such a way that from the Ministry of Education 36,000 children went to the war and martyred. This does not include the wounded [children].”

Although the actual number of children who fell victim in the anti-patriotic war were far greater and mullahs’ inhuman regime sent hundreds of thousands of children from schools to the war fronts and mine fields, but Karoubi’s acknowledgement clearly shows the dimension of war crimes committed by the regime.

Commenting on this horrendous crime, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, reiterated that forcible dispatch of hundreds of thousands of children to anti-patriotic war fronts and mine fields was by any standard a war crime and a crime against humanity. The regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, current and previous presidents and all presidential candidates have been directly involved in this crime and must be tried in an international tribunal.
