Further suppression in Sistan and Baluchistan Province

NCRI – On June 23, in response to people’s uprisings in the province of Sistan and Baluchistan, the province’s Prosecutor General Mohammad-Ebrahim Nikounam threatened, “We have decided to make the elements of insecurity pay with their lives for creating insecurity.”

Nikounam hinted at further torture and executions, threatening,” We vow not to deviate from the divine will when it comes to a person who has done something wrong.”

On Thursday, in an interview with the government-run daily Resalat, he said that punishments (hangings) had been carried out in the case of six individuals charged with “Corruption on the Earth” in order to “bring security” to the province.

Unable to quell the increasing number of uprisings in Sistan and Baluchistan, Azerbaijan, Khuzestan, Kurdistan, and other parts of Iran, the mullahs have resorted to further suppression.
