Iran: Four prisoners hanged including a woman

NCRI – A 30-year-old woman and a man were hanged in Qazvin prison, reported state-run daily Iran on May 13. They were identified by their first names; Azita and Mohammad. On the same day, another state-run daily Etemad reported hanging of a 38-year-old man named as Abbas B. in Choubindar prison of Qazvin.

On May 11, the state-run news agency Fars reported hanging of a 26-year-old man in the Central prison of Esfahan. The man was identified by his first name Mostafa from Shahin Shahr, central Iran.

The total number of executions since the beginning of the current year reaches 185.

The Iranian Resistance calls on all human rights organizations, in particular the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, to condemn the deteriorating state of human rights in Iran and adopt urgent measures to stop executions and suppression in Iran.
