Iran: Four hanged in Zahedan and Qom

NCRI – The Iranian regime hanged four prisoners over the weekend. The mullahs’ henchmen hanged in public three men identified as Yahya Madadi, Ata’ollah Poolzehi, and Hossein Safarlou in the Motahari Square in the holy city of Qom. Another prisoner was sent to gallows without being identified in the southeastern city of Zahedan, the official news agency IRNA reported on Sunday.

The arbitrary executions take place only two weeks after the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly expressed its deep concern, in a unanimous resolution, over the systematic violation of human rights and increasing number of executions in Iran.  However, the Iranian regime pays no heed to the 54 resolutions of the United Nations against it or the growing international community’s alarm over its human rights record.

It is time that the Iranian regime’s human rights dossier is referred to the UN Security Council for immediate and binding measures against it.
