Iran: Families of uprising detainees gather outside Evin prison and mullahs’ “Revolutionary Court”

Nationwide uprising in Iran – Statement 71

The clerical regime refrains from responding to families’ inquiries

NCRI – According to information coming out from Iran, on Sunday morning, July 5, a number of families of people arrested during the uprising in Iran gathered in front of the notorious Evin prison in Tehran to protest the arrest of their loved ones and to follow up on their situation.

A similar gathering was simultaneously held in front of the clerical regime’s “Revolutionary Court” in Tehran.

The gatherings have been held on a daily basis in recent weeks.

Many families attend the protests with some of the detainees’ children, toddlers, and elderly parents. Still others who have traveled to Tehran from remote towns to find out about the situation of their imprisoned loved ones are forced to spend their days under incredibly difficult circumstances.

The Iranian regime’s officials in various institutions refrain from responding to the families’ inquiries and continue to impose various forms of pressure on them.
